Biodiversity through space and time

The Wisnoski Lab is in the Biology Department at Mississippi State University.

We are currently looking for PhD Students and a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the lab!

We study the ecological processes that maintain biodiversity across scales of space, time, and biological organization.

We are especially interested in how dispersal and dormancy influence community assembly, structure, and dynamics.

Empirical work focuses primarily on microbial communities, which are some of the most diverse biological systems on the planet.

Our research uses field/lab studies and computer simulations to study biodiversity in dynamic ecosystems.
